Wimborne Who€™s Discovery (aka Connor) is rising 10 years old and is 16.2hh. He is dapple grey and gelded.
Connor has been bred to look a warmblood, move like a warmblood but to think like a stockhorse.
Connor is by Maroomba Who, a black 15.3hh ASH stallion bred along Abbey/Radium /TB lines.
These lines are highly sought after by showjumpers and ASH people alike. Maroomba Who has an outstanding temperament and trainability, that he has been passed on to Connor €“ in fact, handling Connor has the same feel to me as dealing with the stallion. If trainability is important to you, you will not be disappointed by this horse €“ he is very light, smart and extremely willing.
Wimborne Who's Discovery
Connor€™s Dam, Wimborne Dior, is a 17hh grey mare by Domingo (17.3hh) out of a TB mare called Reign Dream (16.3hh). Domingo €“ reached FEI dressage and won many dressage titles before retiring. Although never competed at showjumping he was an extremely talented jumping horse. His full bother D€™Artagnan was the youngest stallion to pass the 100 day stallion licensing test in the USA, receiving 10/10 for his free jumping ability. D€™Artagnan went on to compete at World Cup level show jumping under Clive Reed. Reign dream is a half sister thru her dam to the Grand Prix horse, Jahnus, and herself raced successfully until she was 7 years old before becoming a show horse, winning numerous champion and supreme led TB awards and placing in led TB at Melbourne Royal.
Connor has been bred with the aim of producing a performance horse that has the combination of stockhorse trainability and willingness with the size and bigger movement of a warmblood. He is a very athletic and active horse with a real talent and love for jumping.
Connor has been well handled on the ground and has been broken to saddle. He is extremely trainable, sensitive and willing. He will suit a confident experienced rider who is looking for young horse with a great character and untapped talent.
Connor is currently out of work due to my pregnancy and new baby.
Connor is registered with the AWHA and is also eligible for 1st cross stock horse registration.
