Wimborne Constable is a dark brown colt with 2 socks and a star born on 22nd November 2008. I expect him to mature approx.16.2hh.
Constable is named after the famous British landscape artist , John Constable. Just like the artist,Wimborne Constable has something very special about him.
He is a leggy, elegant colt - very much the modern type - with 3 truely excellent paces. At the 2008 ACE assessment tour, Constable ranked amongst the top 10 scoring colts in Australia.
Constable's Sire is the Dual purpose stallion, Contenda. Both Contenda's sire, Contendro 1, and his grandsire, Contender, are ranked in the top 1 % of jumping stallions in the 2008 German FN rankings.No other bloodline has both it's sire and grandsire both in the top 1 %!!
This ranking is based on the individuals own performance and also that of their off spring.

Constable's dam is Wimborne Paint It black, arguably our best mare. Paint It black is by the elite dressage sire Gribaldi.
Gribaldi was winner of his stallion licensing in 1995,granted Keur elite status in 2007 and ranked 9th in the FEI World ranking list for dressage horses in 2008. This ranking is based on the individuals own performance ( Gribaldi himself competing at Grand Prix dressage under Edward Gal) and that of his offsring (Includes Anky Van Grusven's Painted Black and Moorlands Totilas to name but a few). It is a very valuable index for predicting likely performance level of a stallions progeny.
